DR PUNEET SINGH
PhD/MClinPsych, BPsych(Hons), A.M.A.P.S
Dr Puneet Singh is a qualified Clinical Psychologist. She holds an Honours degree in Psychology, and has a PhD and Masters in Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University. Puneet is registered with the NSW Psychologist registration board and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society.
Puneet has provided assessment and treatment for children, adolescents and adults who experience anxiety, depression, stress, interpersonal difficulties, and trauma. She has a particular interest in anxiety and has received specialist training in this area from the Emotional Health Clinic (previously known as Macquarie University Anxiety Research Unit).
She is currently involved in treatment and research at the Emotional Health Clinic. She uses several evidence based therapies with her main therapeutic approach being cognitive behaviour therapy and schema therapy. She has a keen interest in mindfulness based approaches and acceptance and commitment therapy.
Puneet’s PhD research examined coping strategies that help children and adolescents deal more effectively with school bullying. She received the University medal for her PhD thesis, as well as numerous awards and scholarships for academic and research excellence. She regularly presents at local and international conferences. Puneet brings a warm and sensitive approach to clients and has a strong interest in fostering positive change in their lives.
