EMMA ROBINSON
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Emma Robinson is a qualified clinical psychologist who is registered with the NSW Psychologists Registration Board and is an associate member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). Emma specialises in anxiety and body image concern, with a particular focus on working with adolescents. She is currently involved in research for her doctorate at Macquarie University on body image dissatisfaction and the use of appearance enhancing techniques such as cosmetic surgery.

Emma has had experience working with adolescents, children and families as well as adults, assisting them with anxiety, depression, family relationship conflict, both individually and in groups. She has also had previous experience working with cancer patients, particularly regarding communication with children around diagnosis and treatment issues.

Emma is involved in psychological treatment at the Macquarie University Anxiety Research Unit (MUARU), running groups for children and adolescents and has previously been involved in teaching developmental psychology and psychopathology to students at the University.

Emma’s main strength is her focus on her relationship with her clients and her focus on the importance of honesty and support in assisting her clients to function at their highest possible level to live integrated and meaningful lives.
